The skirt is absolutely gorgeous! Fits well, too. The golden pattern is woven into the fabric of the skirt itself, so it's not a print or embroidery, just in case anyone was wondering (I've certainly been burnt by this in the past.) It's metallic and almost brocade-like.

The skirt is also in two pieces, so it's closer to being your "traditional" mamianqun (MMQ) skirt; as opposed to a more modernised variant, where the skirt is all in one piece, by the way. So it might be a good idea to wear a petticoat underneath! Especially if it's windy and the front skirt "door" flap is likely to flip back when walking. And/or also wear a waist pendant to weigh that skirt door down.

The only slight downside I would say, is that the fabric of the skirt is a bit thinner and lighter than other similar (woven) MMQs. But I tend to wear a petticoat underneath these skirts anyway, so. (For modesty and shaping purposes)

So adorable and comfortable! Needed a red dress for our Cancun wedding vacation and this was perfect. Fits true to size. I am 5’6” and the Large was fine. Not too clingy with a little swing on the bottom. My hubby said this hanfu dress is super cute. Most important.....good material and NOT see through. Definitely recommend!
